Burn Me Alive

I don’t want to drown.

But if I did I would go to the ocean.
And swim out as far as I can before the lifeguard had a chance to catch up.
And I’d dive as far down as I could reach
And let the waves wash me up
Pale and peaceful


I don’t want to burn.

I think it’d take forever.
And it would hurt like hell
So to speak.


I don’t want to be murdered.

How embarrassing.
For someone else to control those last moments.
Do what they want with you and bury the body wherever they like.
I’d have to be pretty awful for someone to hate me that much.


But whatever happens, I won’t complain.
I just want to see how the story ends.
